Barbara Mason Rast is an artist whose interest in illustration began in early childhood.

    The works of Maxfield Parrish, Arthur Szyk, and Arthur Rackham were some of the Golden Age Illustrators who inspired her to experiment with her own  inner vision of realism combined with magical elements.

     She is a published Author/Illustrator, Commercial and Fine Artist, working primarily in oils and digital media.

     The main  objective in her visual art and writing is to convey a sense of beauty and harmony, humor and phantasmagoria -- magical and dreamlike worlds.
