Gary Benz is a children’s author and illustrator convinced that wobbly towers, chatty but shy bunnies, and clever foxes make the world far more interesting. He grew up on Long Island where turtles held secret meetings beneath the lily pads of Yaphank Lake and raccoons planned their garbage heists in the woods of Lake Panamoka. He turned those wild neighbors into stories like The Promise: A Cody and Summer Tale and The Fall of the Wibbly Wobbly Tower, where bunnies have hearts of gold, towers tumble, and foxes smile when nobody’s looking. 

When the pencil and brush are at rest, Gary is often on a backyard adventure with his two young kids, Jonah and Hannah. He believes the best stories are the ones that inspire and remind us to laugh at the silliness of it all.
